Position Summary
The Product Manager – Customer Retention will play a key role in ensuring ServiceMagic.com creates and delivers a long-term, value-based relationship with our customers. With a hunger to learn, an eye for detail, a fanatic focus on customer experience, and a dedication to quantitative and qualitative analysis, this individual will help transform market opportunities into product features and enhancements. This position is perfect for an entrepreneurial and analytical self-starter with 2+ successful years of online product management experience. S/he must be a team-player that can both lead projects and work collaboratively in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
Essential Duties
• Assist in the development of ServiceMagics customer retention initiatives - from initial concepts through successful testing, implementation and ongoing management / analysis. • Analyze customer activity through customer segmentation and transaction based analysis in support of recommendations for improving customer communications and interaction. • Understand business goals in depth, then manage project deliverables and timelines both internally and externally to ensure execution matches product vision and/or other client expectations. • Author product specifications defining proposed features and functionality. • Leverage a firm understanding on user interface design techniques to deliver highly usable and engaging product. • Collaborate with product managers, designers, developers and QA to ensure delivery of an optimal finished product. • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, monitor project status, troubleshoot obstacles, and provide outstanding communication to all stakeholders through development cycle.
Experience and Skills:
Skills Required
• 2+ years experience in online product management. • Demonstrated knowledge of statistics and proven ability to apply concepts against complex business issues. • Unsurpassed attention to detail. • Excellent oral and written communication skills required. • Self-motivated, proactive individual with positive attitude…a team player! • Curiosity a must -- the ideal candidate will ask a lot of questions and have an insatiable appetite for learning. • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, highly dynamic work environment. • Local candidates preferred. • BA / BS required, Business or Marketing degree preferred.
